Leasing Tip of the Day: Ditch Excel, Get A CRM!

Leasing Tip of the Day: Ditch Excel, Get A CRM!

Rockstars know the value of information and understand that their brains can only hold so much. That’s why they rely on systems to capture and recall important details. If you want to be a Rockstar in leasing, you must have a Customer Relationship Management System (CRM).

A good CRM helps you track prospects’ names, contact info, and notes about them. Without this system, all the time you spend prospecting could be wasted if you can’t recall important details later.

When choosing a CRM, find one that’s simple enough for daily use but robust enough to add real value to your sales process. Remember, ‘if it’s work, it won’t work!’ There are plenty of great, easy-to-use, and inexpensive off-the-shelf CRM options. Don’t try to build one yourself.

Invest in a good CRM and say goodbye to those old Excel spreadsheets. It’s a game-changer for managing your prospects and staying on top of your leasing game.

Deals can take 3–12 months to close, and you likely won’t see your first commission check for 4–5 months. Be Smart. Be Ready. Retail leasing can be wildly lucrative, but only if you prepare properly for the ramp-up. Don’t let short-term pressure kill your long-term potential.
